Hey all!
Hope you've had as much fun as I had this passed weekend. It was my birthday and my amazing boyfriend and friends helped me celebrate! Was such a good time!
So lets get to the goods shall we? I'm really excited for Valentine's Day..not to receive boxes of chocolates, but to have fun with some cute little projects! Those I will be posting hopefully tomorrow. Stay tuned!
I had some extra time, so of course got my crochet needle and went to work. It seems that I can't be sitting in one place for too long without thinking "hmmm...I could be making something"...maybe that's why I like to be home, who wants to look like a goof with a skein of yarn and a needle out and about visiting? Not saying I've never done it though!
I got to visit with a friend from the eastern side of the mountains. She had offered to come over and have lunch and bring me some beautiful hand spun, (by her) and hand dyed (by her mother who has now passed) and in exchange I would make her a hat. Below is that hat. It was interesting working with the organic material. Something to get use to, but I love how un-perfect it looks...does that make sense?
Here its is, I used a J hook and it is Half Double Crochet...
Here's a great tutorial if you wanted to learn:
I am so thankful for the tutorials on YouTube and I have found some favorites, The Knot Witch is certainly one of them!
I am looking forward to telling and showing you about my Valentine's Day crafts.
